On April 19, 2011, Donau Carbon celebrated the inauguration of their own production plant for coconut shell-based Activated Carbon.
 

The plant, under management of our recently established subsidiary Donau Carbon Philippines Corp., is located in the north of Mindanao.


 

Amongst others, Governor of Mindanao, Mr. Oscar Moreno, the Owner of Donau Chemie Group, Mr. Alain de Krassny, as well as Donau Chemie AG's CEO, Mr. Franz Geiger, took part in the inauguration ceremonies.

The ribbon cutting by Mr. de Krassny and Mr. Geiger as well als Mr. Jürgen Ries (Managing Director of Donau Carbon GmbH & Co. KG) and Mr. Miguel Araneta (Managing Director of Donau Carbon Philippines Corp.) - see picture from left to right - marks a new chapter in Donau Carbon's company history.
 

Besides the production facilities for impregnated Activated Carbon and mixed adsorbtens and the reactivation plants in Europe (Frankfurt & Pischelsdorf), Donau Carbon now owns a modern production plant in South East Asia, which will produce special Activated Carbon for the world-wide market.

The new factory employs a staff of ~30 in production, administration and the local laboratory.
